Karen MacNab

Biltmore Who's Who Selects Karen MacNab as this weeks Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry for 2008.

Karen MacNab graduated with high honors from Western Illinois University majoring in Human Resources and minoring in Psychology. She has worked within the Health and Wellness field for over 10 years. Her interest in this field was partly due to her three children who used to get sick a lot. She started to make changes in their household products and began to use more homeopathic ways to treat her family. Karen educated herself about healthier alternatives that made a big difference in her family's health.

After further research, she understood that what we breathe, the products we use, what we eat and the chemicals we put into our body have a profound effect on our long-term health. It is her mission to educate others on how to live longer and more fulfilling lives with the use of healthier products, such as those that come from companies who are committed to health, saving the earth and giving back to the community. That is why she chose to represent ONEGroup out of Australia, for its certified organic products that are unparallel in many ways.

It is the primary goal of Karen MacNab to educate as many people as possible to become healthier and make better choices for what they consume, both in and on the body. Karen states that “unfortunately, most of our doctors, pharmacists and healthcare providers do not suggest alternative options. But it is good to know that more holistic practices and institutions are taking on a bigger role in our healthcare system. Living in the age of the internet, we are able to educate ourselves and learn how other practical and non-medicinal ways can be used to not only heal ourselves, but prolong our life as well." Her belief is that with the use of whole foods, proper diet, exercise and chemical-free products, one can greatly decrease the chance of disease, cancer and other illnesses.

Karen MacNab belongs to several affiliations including Beta Gamma Sigma Society, Direct Selling Women's Alliance, and Holistic Moms Network. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, crafts, and decorating.
