Eneida O. Roldan, M.D.,MPH, MBA

Biltmore Who's Who is pleased to introduce Dr. Eneida O. Roldan, Chief Executive Officer of the Metroplitan Hospital in Miami.

On February 8, 2007, Metropolitan Health System acquired Miami-based Pan American Hospital. The hospital had declared Chapter 11 in 2004, and one year later its board of directors was dissolved. In April 2005, the bankruptcy court approached Dr. Eneida Roldan and six other community leaders to form a new board of directors.

"The court wanted the new board of directors to be community leaders", said Roldan, president and CEO. "Although I came in because they were looking for a doctor with a business background, we each agreed to participate pro bono because we each have a personal attachment to the history and vision of the hospital."
